Our Cycling Day Trips are perfect for those visiting Ronda and Andalusia who want to mix their trip with outdoor activities in the beautiful countryside. We provide quality bike hire and specialise in incredible routes like the Vía Verde de la Sierra, offering both self-guided and guided experiences.
Our in-depth knowledge of the area means we can also create custom routes to other local White Villages. Just contact us with any request.
Our classification guide will help you determine which route you feel will best suit you. We have tried to make it as simple as possible by using as few metrics as possible. Any queries you still may have feel free to contact us.
Flat or downhill routes, usually less than 30km in distance and less than 300m in ascents.
Mostly flat or down hill routes, which can be slightly longer than an easy route, but usually less then 40km in distance and 600m in ascents.
For those that cycle frequently with a moderate level of fitness. Routes usually less than 50km in distance and up to 1000m in ascents.
Those that fit the features of a moderate rider but want a challenge. Routes are usually less than 50km still but over 1000m of ascents.
For fit cyclists who have some experience of long-distance riding with climbs. Routes are usually over 50km in length and over 1000m of ascents.
The Vía Verde de la Sierra is the #1 choice for families. It is a 36km traffic-free route on a converted railway line that is almost entirely downhill. You’ll ride through 30 tunnels and over 4 massive viaducts, passing a massive Griffon Vulture colony at Zaframagón. We provide a minibus return, so you don't have to cycle back uphill!
The ride to Setenil de las Bodegas is approximately 24km to 35km, depending on the route. It’s a scenic journey through olive groves and vineyards. Once you arrive, you can enjoy lunch under the massive overhanging rocks before we pick you up in our support vehicle for the 20-minute drive back to Ronda.
Not at all. Most of our day trips are classified as "Easy" or "Leisurely." For those worried about the Andalusian hills, we offer E-bike upgrades for every tour. The electric boost makes even the steepest white village streets feel like a flat path, allowing you to focus on the views rather than the effort.
We provide the bike, helmet, GPS, and water. You should wear comfortable sports clothing (padded shorts are a bonus but not required for day trips), sunscreen, and closed-toe shoes. Since some of our routes pass through many tunnels, we also equip all our bikes with high-powered lights if needed.
Our standard meeting point is near the Bus and Train Station, which is centrally located and easy to find. For private groups and certain multi-day packages, we can also arrange hotel pick-ups.
Customised routes and trips can be created, so we encourage you to contact us with any requests you may have. We can create customised itineraries including but not limited to, shorter/longer rides, different towns, different start and end points as well as multi-day tours from one base town.
