Join us for a nature-focused journey into the heart of Andalucía’s White Villages, where the rare and majestic Pinsapo (Spanish fir) still thrives. This experience blends spectacular mountain landscapes with white village nature walks, focusing on the relationship between local communities and one of Spain’s most iconic native trees.
Our journey begins with a scenic drive through the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, where you’ll pass through ancient cork oak forests and rugged mountain landscapes. Our first stop is Grazalema, a charming village known for its picturesque whitewashed houses and its central location in the Natural Park, and you will learn about how the local climate benefits the Pinsapo population.
Next, we continue our adventure, driving through Las Palomas Pass, where we’ll stop for breathtaking panoramic views. From there, we descend to Zahara de la Sierra, an enchanting hilltop village overlooking a turquoise reservoir. Here, we’ll explore its narrow streets and the only Pinsapo forest within city walls.
After an hour of discovery in Zahara, we’ll return to Ronda, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Andalusia’s most stunning villages.

This is a nature-focused White Village tour by minivan, starting from Ronda. The experience is centered around the endangered Spanish fir (Abies pinsapo), with guided walks and ecological interpretation in the stunning landscapes surrounding Grazalema and Zahara de la Sierra.
You’ll also have time to enjoy the atmosphere and explore the villages as part of the journey, though the main focus remains on natural features, views, and environmental storytelling.
After meeting your guide at the pre-arranged pick-up point, we’ll travel to:
Grazalema, for a scenic walk between two viewpoints, passing through the village edge and discussing the unique microclimate and pinsapo habitat
Las Palomas Pass, where we pause at 1300m for breathtaking views
Zahara de la Sierra, where you’ll have over an hour to explore the village’s urban pinsapo grove and surrounding viewpoints
Please note: the villages are built on hills, so some sections of the walk will include gentle slopes and uneven surfaces. Good walking shoes are recommended.
Our tour focuses on the two most iconic villages in the Sierra de Grazalema: Zahara de la Sierra, known for its turquoise reservoir and medieval castle, and Grazalema, famous for its mountain microclimate and traditional architecture.
Yes! We provide private minivan transportation starting and ending in Ronda. This allows us to navigate the winding mountain roads of the Sierra de Grazalema comfortably, including a stop at the breathtaking Puerto de las Palomas viewpoint.
