The blue village of Júzcar is one of the main attractions of this route and considering we specialise in White Villages, this may be an unnatural fit but it was once a White Village, and its unusual history has resulted in the town being painted blue.
The route itself is simple, starting near the town of Parauta, you will begin with a nice steady downhill ride, passing the town of Cartajima and through oak forests and chestnut forests until you reach the blue town of Júzcar.
From Júzcar the route starts to undulate with some short climbs and descents past Faraján and to the town of Alpandeire, where you will face a long and steady ascent. Up until this point, the ascents have been short, so this will feel a little more challenging and is what makes the route more moderate than easy. However, once you've finished the climb, you are rewarded with a long descent into Ronda where your ride will complete.
Optional: E-Bike upgrade fee of 20€ per bicycle (subject to availability). Guide 80€ per group (subject to availability). Contact us for availability.
Transportation from Ronda (contact us directly for an alternative location).
Bicycle rental (excluding e-bikes), GPS, helmets, and a bottle of water per person.
The group will be supplied with a basic repair kit as standard.

This route virtually uses two roads on its route. The whole route uses paved roads making it easier and smoother to ride uphill and downhill.

Moderate
Any cycling excursion, easy or challenging, should still be treated the same regarding preparation.
For you all the difficult stuff like maintaining the bicycles and planning the routes have been done, so all you need to do is come prepared with suitable clothing for cycling (padded shorts are not necessary but recommended), hydrated and fuelled (have breakfast and drink water), bring suncream/sunscreen and most importantly expect to have an awesome day.
Our Focus Whistler 3.6 bikes are a reliable and comfortable hardtail mountain bike, perfect for both casual rides and those looking to explore trails around Ronda. With front suspension, powerful hydraulic disc brakes, and a lightweight aluminium frame, it handles everything from scenic countryside roads to light off-road adventures with ease.
