New E-BIKE TOURS available
While we specialise in White Villages, the "Blue Village" of Júzcar is an unmissable mountain gem. This 34km route takes you through some of the most unique landscapes in the Serranía de Ronda, from dramatic limestone peaks to the lush, ancient chestnut and oak forests of the Genal Valley.
The route features a mix of steady descents and one significant, long ascent. While this climb makes the standard tour "Moderate," our Bosch-powered E-bikes turn it into a gentle cruise, allowing you to focus on the spectacular views rather than the effort.
Highlights:
Distance: 34km (21 miles).
Ascent: 668m (Completely neutralised by E-assist).
Descent: 961m (A long, rewarding finish into Ronda).

1. The Forest Start
We drive you from Ronda to the start point near Parauta. You’ll begin with a beautiful, steady downhill ride through tunnels of chestnut and oak trees. Depending on the season, these forests turn a brilliant copper-gold or a deep, lush green.
2. The Blue Village: Júzcar
The main attraction is Júzcar. Originally a traditional White Village, it was famously painted blue for a film premiere, and the residents chose to keep it that way. It’s a surreal and photogenic stop where you can wander the blue-washed streets and learn about its unique history.
3. The Genal Valley Undulations.
From Júzcar, the route undulates past the quiet villages of Faraján and Alpandeire. You’ll experience the true peace of the "Serranía," with very little traffic and vast mountain horizons.
4. The "Easy" Alpine Climb.
After Alpandeire, the road begins a long, steady ascent back towards the high plateau. On a standard bike, this is the most challenging section. On your E-bike, you’ll simply power up the switchbacks, enjoying the eagle’s-eye view of the valley you just cycled through.
5. The Grand Entrance to Ronda
Once the climb is finished, you are rewarded with a long, sweeping descent that brings you directly back into the historic Barrio San Francisco in Ronda. It’s the perfect end to a spectacular day of discovery.
Premium electric bicycle rental, helmets, GPS and a bottle of water.
The group will be supplied with a basic repair kit as standard.
Full Support: Back-up van assistance is just a call away.

At White Village Tours, we handle the technical logistics, including bike maintenance, expert GPS route planning, and support vehicle coordination - so you can focus entirely on the ride. To ensure your comfort and safety in the Andalusian countryside, please arrive prepared with the following:
1. Clothing & Footwear.
Ride Comfort: Wear comfortable, moisture-wicking sportswear. While professional padded cycling shorts are not strictly required for our E-bike tours, they are highly recommended for maximum comfort.
Footwear: Sturdy, closed-toe trainers or sports shoes are essential. Please avoid flip-flops, sandals, or loose footwear.
Layers: Temperatures in the Serranía de Ronda can vary between the valley floors and mountain passes. We recommend bringing a light windbreaker or gilet for morning starts and long descents.
2. Sun & Element Protection.
The Spanish sun is powerful year-round. Please bring high-factor sunscreen/suncream and a pair of sunglasses to protect against UV rays and dust.
A small day-pack is useful for carrying personal items, a camera, or a light jacket.
3. Fuel & Hydration
Nutrition: We strongly recommend eating a healthy, energy-rich breakfast before your tour begins.
Hydration: All our bikes are fitted with bottle cages and bottle water, but extra water is always recommended.
4. The Essentials:
Ensure your mobile phone is fully charged for navigation and photos.
Bring a small amount of cash or a card for coffee stops or souvenirs in the white villages.
Most importantly: Bring a sense of adventure, we’ve taken care of the rest!
Our Focus and Kalkhoff Premium E-Bikes are powered by powerful Bosch motors, Shimano gearing and hydraulic disc brakes. Ideal for tackling steep climbs and adding a little comfort to you expereince.
The ascent after Alpandeire is long and steady. On a regular bike, it is a significant workout, but our Bosch-powered E-bikes make the climb feel easy and accessible for most riders.
Júzcar was originally a traditional white village, but was painted blue in 2011 as part of a promotional campaign for the Smurfs movie. The locals voted to keep the colour, making it a unique landmark in Andalusia.
