Our Easy Cycling Tour is a collection of Easy and Moderate routes for those who want to visit Ronda for a mini cycling holiday or explore the area in greater detail.
The first two days include our Via Verde route and our Las Palomas route. Those who opt for the three days of cycling will get to experience our Blue Village route on day three. It is important to note that the order and route selection can be altered.
The Vía Verde route on day 1 is a simple A-B ride from the town of Olvera to Puerto Serrano using a dedicated cycle trail on an old railway line. Click here for a more detailed description.
Day 2 is another A-B ride from the beautiful town of Grazalema, cycling up to the panoramic viewpoint of Las Palomas and then riding downhill through another beautiful town, Zahara de la Sierra and on to the final town of Algodonalas, where your ride will end. Click here for a more detailed description.
If you have selected the three-day tour, on day 3 you will ride the Blue Village route. A route designed to take you through the quiet country roads and small towns of the Valle del Genal, including the famous blue town of Júzcar. Click here for a more detailed description.
The day before the tour starts a short briefing session can be arranged depending on your accommodation to help prepare you for the following days, but the routes selected for this tour mean you will be in contact with us each day.
We are not a travel agency so we do not combine our bicycle rental with accommodation, this also gives you more flexibility in where you stay on your holiday. You can choose your accommodation before or after you book your experience with us, the accommodation you choose will not affect the price with us unless it is located outside the Ronda area.

Itinerary
Day 0 - Optional Briefing
The day before your first ride you have an optional meet and greet with a briefing, if you have opted for this, we will arrange a suitable location with you depending on your choice of accommodation.
Day 1 - Vía Verde
Your first day on the saddle will be one of your easiest but a very interesting route.
We will collect you from a pre-agreed location and drive to the town of Olvera. From here you will be set up on your bicycles and given your equipment for the route. This is a self-guided ride without GPS because it is simply one path from start to finish.
The Vía Verde is a stunning cycle track on the foundations of an old railway line that gradually descends through olive groves, tunnels and viaducts. The natural beauty of the landscape and its interesting history make for a fantastic bike ride for all levels of cyclists.
Along the route, there is a vulture centre and an old station converted into a cafeteria for anyone wanting to stop for a drink or to witness the nesting sites of a local vulture colony.
Our team that set you up at the beginning will also be on hand for any assistance along the route and once you finish the ride, your transfer back to Ronda will be waiting.
36 km / 22 miles - Ascent 159m - Descent 451m
Day 2 - Las Palomas
The second day in the saddle will start with a pickup and drop off just like your first day, but we will set you up in the beautiful town of Grazalema.
This ride is a step up in classification from the day before due to the uphill start of the route but this ascent is paired with an even longer descent and a shorter route, allowing you to take your time at the start and absorb the amazing panoramic views you will have.
Starting in Grazalema, you will cycle to the viewpoint Las Palomas where you can stop and take in the vistas. From here a long and steady descent to the lakeside town of Zahara de la Sierra, which like Grazalema has been officially recognised as one of the most beautiful towns in Spain.
The route will take you into the centre of the village where you will have a chance to stop and have a drink, before riding on to Algodonales, the final stop on your route and where you will be collected by the support vehicle.
27 km / 17 miles - Ascent 573m - Descent 1004m
Day 3 - Blue Village
If you have opted for the 3-ride experience, then you will get to enjoy yet another great trip on the saddle.
Again you will be picked up by our support team and set up near the town of Parauta. From here you will ride country roads through the Valle de Genal stopping in the little mountain villages along the way, including the intriguing Blue Village of Júzcar.
The route is mostly downhill apart from some small sections between villages and a long climb towards the end, however, you are blessed with a long descent into Ronda to finish the route.
34 km / 21 miles - Ascent 668m - Descent 961m
