New E-BIKE TOURS available
This 34km loop takes you through the absolute heart of the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, tackling the famous Puerto de las Palomas pass. Starting in the high village of Grazalema, we climb to 1,357m for a bird’s-eye view over the turquoise waters of the Zahara reservoir, before a long, winding descent into Zahara de la Sierra. At White Village Tours, we handle the technical logistics, including bike maintenance, expert route planning, and transport - so you can focus entirely on the ride. To ensure your comfort and safety in the Andalusian countryside, please arrive prepared with the following:
1. Clothing & Footwear.
Ride Comfort: Wear comfortable, moisture-wicking sportswear. While professional padded cycling shorts are not strictly required for our E-bike tours, they are highly recommended for maximum comfort.
Footwear: Sturdy, closed-toe trainers or sports shoes are essential. Please avoid flip-flops, sandals, or loose footwear.
Layers: Temperatures in the Serranía de Ronda can vary between the valley floors and mountain passes. We recommend bringing a light windbreaker or gilet for morning starts and long descents.
2. Sun & Element Protection.
The Spanish sun is powerful year-round. Please bring high-factor sunscreen/suncream and a pair of sunglasses to protect against UV rays and dust.
A small day-pack is useful for carrying personal items, a camera, or a light jacket.
3. Fuel & Hydration
Nutrition: We strongly recommend eating a healthy, energy-rich breakfast before your tour begins.
Hydration: All our bikes are fitted with bottle cages and bottle water, but extra water is always recommended.
4. The Essentials:
Ensure your mobile phone is fully charged for photos.
Bring a small amount of cash for coffee stops or souvenirs in the white villages.
Most importantly: Bring a sense of adventure, we’ve taken care of the rest!
Our Focus and Kalkhoff Premium E-Bikes are powered by powerful Bosch motors, Shimano gearing and hydraulic disc brakes. Ideal for tackling steep climbs and adding a little comfort to you expereince.
A: We call this a "Moderate" route because, with the help of our E-bikes, the 1055m of climbing feels more like a moderate challenge. We start with a van ride to skip the city traffic, so you’re only riding on quiet, scenic country backroads.
A: Peace of mind! On a guided tour, you don't have to look at a map once. Your guide handles the navigation, shares local stories about the area, and is right there to help if you have any mechanical issues. Plus, we know the best "secret" spots for photos!
A: Not at all. While the majority of our guests love the "boost" of the electric motor, we have high-quality standard mountain bikes available for anyone who wants to get a bit more of a workout. Just let us know your preference when you book.
A: We provide the bike, the helmet, and the water. We recommend wearing comfortable sports clothes and closed-toe shoes (sneakers are perfect). Don’t forget your camera/phone and a little bit of pocket money for our coffee stop in Zahara de la Sierra!
A: We will meet you in Ronda at 9:15 AM for a quick drive to the start point. After we finish our 34km loop, we load the bikes back onto the trailer and drive you comfortably back to Ronda.
